Indiana University Health is planning to consolidate its adult services at IU Health Methodist and IU Health University hospitals into one academic medical campus with an estimated $750-million project that expands the existing Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and constructs a new medical center. The project is proposed to be built out in phases over a period of roughly four to five years, with the start of bidding/construction expected no earlier than 2017. Illinois
Tishman Speyer Properties is planning to build a 52-story office tower at 130 North Franklin on the site of the former Chicago Mercantile Exchange building. With an estimated cost of $600 million, plans for the nearly 1.4-million-sq-ft, structural steel-framed building include 14,000 sq ft of retail and a 190-space parking garage. The project will advance pending the announcement of an anchor tenant. The firm has not finalized construction schedules. Krueck & Sexton Architects is the project’s designer. Michigan
Exelon Corp. anticipates starting construction this spring on its 153-MW Michigan Wind 3 project in Sanilac County. The estimated $250-million project will include 68 wind turbines.
