The Marco Island Marriott was shut down to accommodate this fast-track, 90-day project that included the redevelopment of the resort’s lobby, porte cochere, grand entrance, two restaurants and main kitchen. The $25-million project encompassed 62,000 sq ft of renovated space, completed in 78 working days, equating to more than $300,000 of work installed per day. Over the course of the project, an average of eight RFIs were written and solved each day. Working with all teams co-located on site allowed the team to solve challenges as they occurred without delays to the project schedule.
