WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has named Duane W. Harris II as senior vice president and director of finance for its U.S. industrial and energy sector. In this role, Harris, who is based in the Houston office, is responsible for financial reporting, corporate budget preparation and interfacing with the legal team in negotiations for subcontractor and client contracts. He brings 40 years of experience to the position.
Gensler recently announced several promotions. Lisa Pope-Westerman and John Haba were named principals in the firm’s Houston office. Christopher Goggin, Barry Hand and Ross Conway were named principals at the Dallas office. Stephanie Burritt was named co-managing director of the Houston office.
KCI Technologies promoted D. Scott Stockburger, Texas utilities regional practice leader, to vice president. Stockburger, who is based in Irving, joined the firm in 2014 and is responsible for overseeing subsurface utility engineering, utility relocation and design-build services throughout the state. During his 28-year career, he has served as an owner, consultant and contractor within the utility industry with a focus on utility design, coordination and relocation.
Austin Commercial has hired John Martin as vice president of its Houston business unit. During his 30-plus-year construction career, Martin has led teams on more than 100 construction projects that represent more than $2 billion in value. Before joining Austin Commercial, Martin worked alongside Austin as a partner with his previous firm on TCU’s Amon G. Carter Stadium, Baylor University’s McLane Stadium and Clyde Hart Track & Field Stadium.
Bryan Hodnett has been elected to the board of directors for DonahueFavret Contractors, Mandeville, La. Hodnett joined the firm in 2012 and works as a senior project manager.
The Houston office of FKP has hired Chris Cook as vice president and senior architect. He will manage all phases of health care projects, including documentation, day-to-day coordination and construction administration. He has 16 years of experience working on large-scale health care and hospital projects across the country. Cook will work on the Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital Bed Tower and assist with completion of the Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands.
Michael Baker International has hired Michael Clements as a construction services manager in its Dallas office. He has 21 years of transportation experience in construction, inspection, management, operations and maintenance.
Miguel Sanchez has been hired as senior project manager in the firm’s San Antonio office. He has 18 years of transportation experience in roadway design and construction management.
Cherry Cos., Houston, has hired Ivan Svec as a vice president. Svec’s construction career started with Brown and Root in Houston, where he worked from 1991 to 1997. After B&R, Svec joined Webber from 1997 to 2016. He started his career at Webber as a project engineer and most recently was the firm’s regional vice president.
Lockwood, Andrews and Newnam, Houston, has hired Clement Medina and Kedrick Wright as program managers. They will be responsible for planning, executing and finalizing design and construction of K-12 schools and higher education projects. They will also help expand program management services in those markets.
