HOK has named William Kenworthey principal and leader of its planning practice for the Northeast region based in New York City. Previously, he was a partner and urban design practice leader at Cooper Robertson.
Nichole Pitts has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the 2016 Attorneys Who Matter. She is vice president of international compliance and ethics officer at engineering firm Louis Berger.
Scott MacIntyre has been promoted to senior vice president at New York City-based engineer STV. He was a senior project manager. MacIntyre was the project director for the $3.9-billion World Trade Center Transportation Hub in lower Manhattan and for the $1.9-billion AirTrain JFK that links John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, N.Y., with the Long Island Rail Road and New York City subway system.
E.W. Howell Construction Group, Plainview, N.Y., has elevated Denise Orlando to marketing director and Michelle Pressley to office manager. The firm also promoted Dominic Paparo Jr. and Bob Zirkel to vice president and Jehan Joonoos to senior project manager.

Boswell Engineering, a South Hackensack, N.J.-based engineering and construction management firm, has elevated Joseph A. Pomante to vice president and chief operations officer. He was deputy department head of the company’s municipal division.
Verity L. Frizzell has been named president-elect of the New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects. She is a principal of Feltz & Frizzell Architects, Point Pleasant, N.J., and had been president of AIA-NJ’s Jersey Shore local section. Frizzell also was a member of the national AIA Strategic Planning Task Force and its National Equity in Architecture Commission.
H2M architects + engineers, Melville, N.Y., has hired Ariel Santiago as a project designer. He had been a project architect for Diaz Paunetto Arquitectos in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
New York City-based Dattner Architects has elevated Kirsten Sibilia to managing principal. The firm also named the following employees to new positions: Eric Epstein, Gia Mainiero and Ruth Ro to associate principal and Douglas Freeman to senior associate.
