Midwest Best Projects Honored in Chicago

Nearly 200 winners and guests attended the ENR Midwest Best Projects Awards breakfast in Chicago in November, honoring 35 projects for innovation and design and construction excellence. ENR Midwest’s Project of the Year was 150 N. Riverside in Chicago. General contractor Clark Construction, members of the design team from architect Goettsch Partners as well as structural engineer Magnusson-Klemencic accepted the award. All of the top category winners will compete against other regions’ winners in ENR’s Best of the Best program.

Burns & McDonnell Opens Columbus Office

Burns & McDonnell is expanding its presence in Ohio with the establishment of an office in Columbus. The 119-year-old engineering, architecture, construction, environmental and consulting firm is planning for rapid growth throughout the next five years and has plans to hire 200 local employees by the end of 2022.
