Peter Rooney has become a vice president and national practice lead for energy engineering and construction at design firm VHB. He has experience in energy generation and transmission, transportation and wastewater treatment sectors. He is based in Hauppauge, N.Y.

The Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey has elected new directors:  Benedict Torcivia Jr. of Torcon Inc. as chairman; J. Fletcher Creamer Jr. of J. Fletcher Creamer & Son Inc. as vice chairman; Eric Jensen of Michael Riesz & Co. as treasurer; and Art Corwin of Moretrench American Corp. as secretary.

John Civetta & Sons Inc. has elevated Andy Montoni to vice president. He is managing the Bronx-based heavy construction firm’s rehabilitation contract for the Atlantic Avenue Bridge over the Long Island Rail Road in Brooklyn that was recently awarded by the NYC Dept. of Transportation.
