Idaho Treasure Valley Renewable Resources is planning to build a sorghum and biogas manufacturing facility in Parma. The facility will consist of three separate parts under three separate LLCs. Bio Ag Resources will use sorghum fiber in a pulping process to manufacture fiber-molded plates, bowls and other products for the food industry. Boise Biogas will operate anaerobic bio methane gas digesters to produce biogas and by-products that will be used to make fertilizer, compost and livestock bedding. Illinois Cook County is planning to construct a 600-acre-foot reservoir at 2795 Washington Blvd. in Bellwood. Oklahoma The Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation is planning a pavement rehabilitation project for a section of Interstate 35 in Kay County. The project will rehab a 5.89-mile-long stretch, from milepost 213.50 to milepost 219.39. Bidding is tentatively scheduled for 2019. The project is valued at $18 million. Vermont Alp Bashdogan is planning to build the Aeolus Mountain Spa Hotel on a 46-acre site in Manchester. The 80-room hotel will occupy a two-story, 122,000-sq-ft building and will include a 160-seat restaurant. The project is valued at between $15 million and $25 million. Virginia The Fairfax County Dept. of Transportation is planning to construct the Soapstone Connector, a half-mile-long extension of Soapstone Drive in Reston, from its current endpoint at Sunrise Valley Drive north to Sunset Hills Road. It will include a bridge over the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267). The bridge will have two vehicle lanes, a bike lane in each direction, a sidewalk on one side of the roadway and a shared-use trail on the other side. The project is valued at $170 million. Louisiana The Louisiana Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority has chosen Stantec to oversee the engineering and design of the Mid-Breton Sediment Diversion near Wills Point on the east bank of the Mississippi River in Plaquemines Parish, near river mile 69 above Head of Passes. The project will entail construction of an inlet channel, a gated structure in the river levee, a conveyance channel to move the sediment and water into the wetlands and open water, and a complex of outlet channels. It is intended to move up to 35,000 cu ft per second of water and sediment from the river into wetlands between the river and Lake Borgne, with the expectation that the sediment will nourish existing wetlands and build new wetlands in open water. California 3/21 Guzman Construction Group Inc., the general contractor, is seeking subcontractor bidders to build an affordable housing complex at 490 South Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco. The seven-story, 78,958-sq-ft building will contain 81 affordable units, along with ground floor community spaces and a rooftop terrace. New York 3/23 Long Island University is seeking bidders to carry out the renovation of the Paramount Theater at 1 University Plaza in Brooklyn. The former movie palace, erected in 1928, was a 4,000-seat venue for movies and music events until 1950, when it was converted to a basketball arena. The interior renovations will return much of the space into a 2,800-seat performance venue for music, comedy and boxing. It is being designed by H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture LLC.
