The Boundary Crossing Facilities project forms a main component of the larger Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Project. Located on the newly formed Macao/Zhuhai artificial island, the project includes a passenger terminal building, parking facilities and municipal roads and utilities. The passenger terminal building connects the cities of Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. Despite a tight 12-month schedule, the project had a total recordable incident rate of 0.2, and the Macao SAR Government awarded the project a certificate of safety merit.
