This project added 6,500 sq ft to the laboratory and offices at the wastewater treatment plant in Broomfield, Colo. It also renovated the existing building.

The work is important to the environment because the lab tests wastewater that enters and leaves the plant. The water flows from there into Colorado’s Big Dry Creek, where it can affect the ecosystem. The new lab will help ensure clean water for people throughout Colorado.

The project’s first phase was the addition, including a larger main lab, numerous smaller lab spaces, administrative offices, a conference room, restrooms with an employee locker room and expanded break room, and a new entry and lobby area. The second phase included the complete renovation of the old building, including offices and the lab.
