The 10,000-seat Days of ’47 Arena is the permanent new home for rodeo at the Utah State Fair Park. The arena also hosts other events such as concerts and motor sports. Amenities include snack-bar buildings, restrooms, storage, janitor and rodeo support services, a hospitality room and a meeting room. Sitework rerouted utilities and added concrete walkways and a pedestrian plaza around the facility.
Early precontract coordination between Okland, supplier GT Grandstand and Cache Valley Electric allowed construction to start immediately upon project award, keeping the nine-month project on schedule. Spectator experience was the number one goal. The arena’s clear and balanced sound, stunning light displays and flexible uses make it a state-of the-art facility.
