Tunnell Cos. is seeking a zoning change and site plan approval from state officials to build the Baywood Gardens Apartments in Millsboro. Incyte Corp. has submitted a pre-exploratory land development plan to New Castle County to build a laboratory and parking deck in Wilmington. The project, valued at up to $50 million, includes a 183,000-sq-ft building and a two-story parking deck that would connect to Incyte’s existing campus. District of Columbia
Brandywine Realty Trust is planning the 25 M St. SE Office Building. The $90-million project includes a nine-story structural-steel building with a 3,000-sq-ft fitness center, rooftop terrace and 25,000 sq ft of street level retail, dining and entertainment space. The British Embassy has proposed repairing and refurbishing its existing embassy in Washington, D.C. The design-bid-build project, valued at up to $50 million, is expected to start in July, pending permits, and be completed by 2021. Miles & Stockbridge has proposed the Blue Grass Solar SP18100015 project in Chestertown, including 487 acres of utility-scale solar array. The work is valued at up to $25 million. The Hazleton Area School District is building an addition to the Hazelton Area High School. Virginia
Corporate Office Properties Trust has proposed the $100-million Westfields International-Buildings E/F project in Chantilly. The design-bid-build project includes two structural-steel buildings, each 12 stories above grade and one story below grade. The buildings total 492,000 sq ft. The developer had previously been approved to build 75-ft-tall buildings but now is seeking a special exception to allow it to construct the buildings to a height of up to 120 ft. At press time, the project’s advancement was awaiting the owner’s decision to proceed. The schedule has not yet been determined. The architect is Page/SST Planners.
