Construction surpassed the 35th floor for the 57-story Elysee condominium project in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. Designed by Miami-based Arquitectonica for Two Roads Development, the waterfront glass tower is being constructed by John Moriarty & Associates. According to the project team, the contractor expects to see the remaining structure rise one full level per week until the scheduled topping-off this November. Designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, the 649-ft-tall residential building is slated for completion in 2020.  Parisian designer Jean-Louis Deniote designed the building’s common areas.

Turner Construction Co. recently celebrated the topping out of a $39.6-million classroom building at Middle Tennessee State University that will house academic programs in the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences. The contractor’s crews reached the highest point of the 99,100-sq-ft building just seven months after groundbreaking  despite a record rainfall of 11 inches in February.
