Mobile Generator: Easy To Link in Parallel

The 724-hp QAS 625 is a 625 kVA/500 kW generator powered by a Volvo Penta 16.1-liter, 6-cylinder Tier 4 Final diesel engine. The fuel tank has a 700-gallon capacity for a runtime of 27 hours. The generator’s SCR aftertreatment system requires less than two service hours over a 500-hour period. The QAS 625 comes equipped with a voltage-selector switch, allowing for quick voltage changes. It can be connected in parallel with up to 32 other generators using a PMS controller to manage load demand. Atlas Copco; www.atlascopco.com

Flat-Top Crane: Quicker Set-Up

The 21LC1400 flat-top crane features a single compact trolley hook, unlike the double-hook design of other Comansa models. This change is intended to improve performance on lifts that approach the crane’s maximum capacity. It boasts an 85-meter jib, expandable to 90 m. The crane’s Quick Set feature allows crews to set up the crane in only 45 minutes and reduce the size of the crew needed to assemble it. Comansa; www.comansa.com

Hydraulic Breakers: Improved Shock Absorbers

KFX-Series hydraulic breaker excavator attachments come in 14 models that fit excavators ranging in class from 8 tons to 200 tons. The smallest can produce 1,475 ft-lb of energy and 600-900 blows per minute, while the largest delivers 25,815 ft-lb of energy and 150-250 blows per minute. The breakers have built-in polyurethane shock absorbers, helping minimize noise and vibrations. Optional air tubes can allow for use in tunneling and underwater applications. Riding Trowel: Digital Display

The HDX600 riding trowel has a digital display that allows operators to monitor fuel levels, as well as engine temperature, oil pressure and RPM. Intended for high-volume concrete flatwork, it comes with dedicated panning and finishing modes. The hydraulically controlled trowel blades have a maximum rotor speed of 165 RPM. The trowel’s engine is able to maintain torque even at high speeds, according to the manufacturer. It runs on a 50-hp liquid-cooled diesel engine and a 13-gallon fuel tank.
