Iowa-Wisconsin ITC Midwest, American Transmission Co. and Dairyland Power Cooperative are planning to erect the Cardinal-Hickory Creek Transmission Line. The 345-kV line will follow a 102- to 120-mile route from Dubuque County, Iowa, to Dane County, Wisconsin. Construction is expected to start in 2021 and be completed in 2023. Nevada The City of Las Vegas is planning to construct 7,500 ft of 78-in.-dia sewer under Alexander Road, from Rancho Road to Decatur Boulevard, to provide 105 million gallons per day of additional capacity. Oregon Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis is planning an expansion, adding three three-story buildings and a parking lot on 17.3 acres of land at the north end of its property. The buildings will house a wide range of hospital services. The project also includes a new intersection of Highway 99 and Elks Drive about 250 ft north of where they currently meet. Elks would be rerouted to meet the highway at an intersection that would have a traffic signal. Ninth Street, instead of dead-ending at Elks, would continue north and merge into Samaritan Drive. Wisconsin Milwaukee Public Museum is planning to build a new museum building. It has narrowed its search to four sites in downtown Milwaukee. Possible conceptual designs have been done by two firms, Rinka Chung Architects and Zimmerman Architectural Studios. The museum’s goal is to break ground in 2022. Ohio The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently evaluating bids from firms interested in replacing and renovating an existing fuel farm at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The work includes removing 17 existing underground single-walled fuel storage tanks, with a total capacity of 148,000 gallons; installing 17 double-walled underground storage tanks, all associated piping and controls; and replacing one 2,000-gallon above-ground liquid propane storage tank with concrete support pad. The relocated fuel farm will include one 25,000-gallon tank, three 20,000-gallon tanks, one 10,000-gallon tank, four 6,000-gallon tanks, six 4,000-gallon tanks and two 2,500-gallon tanks. The liquid propane tank will be 2,000 gallons. Work includes replacement of the existing 500-sq-ft manifold building, including oil/water separator and associated storm water piping.
