The $179-million Anschutz Health Sciences Building in Aurora, Colo., being built by JE Dunn Construction for the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, is scheduled for completion in August 2021. The architect is AndersonMasonDale.

The seven-story building consists of a large interior atrium, several floors of offices, clinical spaces, a data center, conference center and a wet lab.

Architectural features of the building include sets of unique V columns, which also serve as the main structural component. Half of the 42-ft-tall columns are tapered from 4 ft wide at the bottom to 3 ft at the top. Crews used 32 cu yd of concrete for each set.
