The project includes a 75,000-sq-ft indoor water park and connected 250-room to 350-room resort hotel; a riverfront promenade with outdoor dining and shopping; an arts and culture district with galleries, museums and a farmers market; a performing arts space; a convention center; boat docks; and up to 360 market-rate apartments or condominiums. South Carolina Niagara Bottling LLC is planning to construct a 502,320-sq-ft bottling plant in the Pee Dee Touchstone Energy Commerce City business park in Florence. Tennessee Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise is planning to develop Mill Town, a mixed-use project, on a 30-acre site in Chattanooga’s East Main Street area. The project will include 330 units of housing, as well as commercial space. The site was formerly the home of the Standard-Coosa-Thatcher textile complex. One large former SCT building will be converted to apartments and commercial space. The remaining space will be devoted to a mix of new construction, including single-family houses, townhouses, and quadriplex and eight-plex units. Washington Sound Transit is planning to construct the Tacoma Dome Link Extension, a 10-mile addition to its regional light rail system via mostly elevated tracks between Federal Way and Tacoma, including four new light rail stations in the South Federal Way, Fife, East Tacoma/Portland Avenue and Tacoma Dome areas.
