The St Paul Collection comprises two buildings with a total of 165 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Delivered via design-build, the use of prefabrication provided a significant return in building the repetitive apartment floor plans. The team used a prefabricated, load-bearing metal frame and composite deck system and coordinated all interior layouts and above-ceiling and in-wall MEP systems to shorten the schedule by three months. The structural system eliminated columns in the residential units, creating more open floor plans and increased flexibility. Although each building had its own team, crews shared trade partners, resources, finishes and hardscapes.
