This project is the result of a partnership between Colorado State University and Aurora Public Schools (APS). After Aurora passed a 2016 bond measure supporting schools, the district agreed to help fund construction of a new headquarters for CSU Global. In turn, APS receives in-kind lease payments, including free or affordable post-secondary options for its students, recent graduates and staff. 

The partnership led to construction of a 26,000-sq-ft building on the Aurora Community Campus. Originally planned for elsewhere, the design team had to quickly adapt the project to a new location on the south side of campus. The relocation provided an opportunity to improve upon the initial design and include better daylighting and strategies for greater energy savings.
