Value of new contracts expected to post sharp rise in 2021 after tumbling last year

Gains are forecast in all three major construction categories, with nonbuilding more than doubling in value.

“We’re doing work for several health care clients right now, building new clinics and things of that nature,” Sawall says. “The K-12 market has been strong in Omaha. Omaha Public Schools has done two $500-million bond programs, and we we’ve done a lot of that work. It seems like now some of the neighboring districts are doing improvements.”

Sawall says the company has also been active in the research lab, high-tech and manufacturing markets.
