Alabama GenRev Properties is planning to construct the Canopy at Oak Mountain, a mixed-use development in Pelham. It will include 200 apartments, a 115-room hotel and a 22,500-sq-ft retail hub, called Base Camp, containing a brewery, restaurants and other retail. Arkansas Owens-Corning Inc. is planning to build a 550,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility on 56 acres adjacent to its current property in Fort Smith in order to replace the existing plant, which was erected in 1984. Hawaii Kyo-ya Co. is planning to redevelop the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel in Honolulu. The project calls for the complete demolition of the existing buildings on the 4.1-acre lot. The new hotel will feature a 33-story tower with 1,009 rooms. Attached to that tower will be a six-story podium with retail, food and beverage space, meeting facilities and a recreation deck, featuring an infinity edge pool, lazy river, gym and pool bar. There will also be a 695-space parking structure. Demolition may begin sometime in 2022, with a target completion date expected sometime in 2025. It is being designed by Group 70 International Inc. Montana Oriden LLC, a venture of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, is planning to construct hydrogen production and gas turbine facilities on a 160-acre site in Butte. The facility will convert treated and polished water from the Berkeley Pit into hydrogen through electrolysis that leaves only oxygen and water vapor as a by-product. The hydrogen gas will be transferred via a to-be-constructed 450-mile gas pipeline, then stored in vast salt domes in Delta, Utah, about 130 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, and used by the Intermountain Power Plant. Ohio The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is planning to construct the Westerly Chemically Enhanced High Rate Treatment Facility in Cleveland. Rhode Island The University of Rhode Island is planning a major restoration and rehabilitation of three historically significant buildings built between 1909 and 1928 around the Kingston campus quadrangle. New York 5/6 The Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority is seeking bidders to paint the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge in Brooklyn.
