The Florida Dept. of Transportation awarded a $162.3-million contract to Jr. Davis Construction Co. for widening 6.2 miles of Florida’s Turnpike, from west of S.R. 50 to north of Hancock Road. Georgia

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District,  awarded an estimated $112.3-million contract to J. Kokolakis Contracting Co. for a Secret Cyber and Dept. of Defense Information Network Training Facility at Fort Gordon. The project calls for construction of a four-story, 235,367-sq-ft structural-steel Cyber Instructional Facility and Secret Command and Control Center building. The facility will support unified training and modernization for cyberspace operations, electronic warfare, cyber electromagnetic activity and cyber-related signal intelligence. North Carolina

The town of Clayton, N.C., is reviewing design-build proposals for the estimated $120-million New Neuse River Water Reclamation Facility project. The expansion project includes a new water reclamation plant that will allow the new facility to treat 6 million gallons per day before discharge to the Neuse River.
