The Park Point Landscape project transformed four acres of flat Silicon Valley land into a lush environment of rolling hills topped with native plants and grasses.

About 300 trees and 1,000 shrubs now surround the three office/R&D buildings on the site. Other features include a sand volleyball court and outdoor kitchen BBQ. The team also improved interiors, renovating two lobbies and building a 6,000-sq-ft gym.

Initial project costs were $3 million over budget, but the team reworked the amenities’ designs, the tree sub-drainage system and the irrigation system.
The team managed the procurement and installation of soil and plants arriving from nurseries throughout California and Oregon. Unforeseen issues such as unidentified underground utilities required the team to revise the construction sequence to create the rolling hills and ensure that crews avoided already completed areas.
