The University of Arkansas is planning to build a silicon carbide semiconductor fabrication facility on the campus in Fayetteville. Construction work and equipment are being funded by the National Science Foundation and the Army Research Office. Cattleman’s Beef Heritage Co. is planning to construct a meat-processing plant in Glenwood. Design Services Inc. has been selected as the design-builder of the single-story, 500,000-sq-ft facility. Vexus Broadband is planning to install a fiber-to-the-home network in Albuquerque. It will provide homes and businesses with symmetrical multigigabit speed internet service. NORTH CAROLINA 

Turnbridge Equities is planning to develop Pine State Creamery, a mixed-use project, on a 3.3-acre site at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and N. West Street in Raleigh. The project will feature a 32-story residential tower with 261 apartments and a 20-story mixed office and residential building. It will also include the existing Creamery building, a two-story structure erected in the 1920s. The design firms include Morris Adjmi Architects, Clearscapes PA and J. Davis Architects. Construction is expected to begin in August 2022 and be completed by July 2024. The project is valued at $125 million. WASHINGTON

The Port of Seattle is planning to construct a new cruise terminal at Terminal 46 at 401 Alaskan Way in Seattle. It will include a deep-water berth, a building to process passengers, a ground transportation area and long-term parking for cruise passengers on the northern 29 acres of the 86.5-acre site. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command has awarded AECOM Technical Services Inc. a $19.3-million cost-plus-award-fee contract task order for Red Hill drinking water monitoring at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The project involves furnishing and installing 4,075 ft of 24-in.-dia mortar-lined and coated steel pipe and 6,250 ft of 24-in.-dia mortar-lined and plastic-coated steel pipe, including all connection piping, appurtenances and fittings; furnishing and installing 605 ft of conductor casing; and furnishing and installing 3,000 ft of 32-in.-dia HDPE pipe under the Oakland Inner Harbor by horizontal directional drilling.
