Howell Construction project manager Anne Brummett has been selected to participate in the invitation-only 2022 ElevateHER Cohort, a special national task force to promote diversity and confront recruiting and retention challenges in the AEC industry.
Milender White has promoted Morgan Lysohir to vice president and district manager Rocky Mountain. She will be overseeing the construction division for the district. Since joining the firm in 2010 as a project engineer, Lysohir has worked as an area superintendent, estimator, project manager and work procurement executive.
Pete Rodriguez has been elected as the new executive secretary-treasurer and the first Latino leader of the Southwest Regional Council of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, which represents 58,000 members across Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Southern California. Rodriguez first joined the union as a laborer in 1996 doing highway and bridge work. He says that being a Spanish speaker gives him extra credibility on the jobsite.
Dewberry has promoted five people in the firm’s Denver and Greenwood Village, Colo., offices. Carl Bundschuh and Joshua Novac have been promoted to associate vice presidents. Danny Elsner has been promoted to senior associate. Melinda Brown and David Sutley have been promoted to associates in the firm’s Denver office.
Jacobsen Construction Co. has promoted seven executives. Jon Wight, who joined Jacobsen in 2005, has been named vice president of field operations, a new position at the company. Wight has been overseeing Jacobsen’s religious projects market and will continue to supervise key projects in that area.
Jon Moody has become a vice president and project executive. He has expertise in preconstruction and project development gained over the course of 21-plus years at Jacobsen.
Josh Fenn, a 16-year industry veteran, also is a vice president and project executive while continuing in his work as assistant project director at the Salt Lake Temple major renovation.
Rob Mills now serves as vice president of project development. He has handled project development duties for Jacobsen projects nationwide since 1999, most recently as a preconstruction manager.
Scott Samowitz, who has kept Jacobsen’s information systems secure and technological capabilities up to date since joining the firm in 1999, now serves as vice president of information technology and security. He was previously director of information technology.
Julie Mulcock has been named executive vice president of human resources. Mulcock has worked for Jacobsen since 2002, most recently as a vice president and the director of human resources for the past 17 months.
Scott DeGraffenried, general counsel, now fills that role as an executive vice president at the company. He has been with Jacobsen since 2018.
Martin/Martin Inc. has promoted several employees. New principals include Tonya Major, David Le and Jeff White. Director of marketing Linda Kelly has been involved in Martin/Martin’s marketing department for more than 30 years. The engineers and one architect promoted to associate are Dan Bearse, Adam Boswell, Colin Dinsmore, Raleigh Fisher, Michael Schulz, Mason Talkington and Brian Techau.
Gensler’s Denver office has promoted several employees. Architect Sarah Marvez was promoted to senior associate. Interior designers Lauren Hucek and Lindsey Salazar and Nicole Cassedy were promoted to associate. Architect Randall Hatley and senior security engineer Ryan Coryell also were promoted to associate.
Trammell Crow Co. has promoted Erik Hagevik, senior vice president in the Denver business unit, to principal. Hagevik joined TCC in 2019 with 26 years of real estate experience in Denver.
Howell Construction has added five key members to its team. Alex Klamut joins the firm as a project engineer, Clayton Gaunt as the new safety director and Kyler DeLuca as a project engineer. Ryan Eddington is a project engineer and Maxwell Furst rejoins the Howell team as a field engineer.
JVA Inc. structural engineer Katharine (Katie) A. Courtright was recently awarded the National Council of Structural Engineers Association’s Susie Jorgensen Presidential Leadership Award, presented to an individual who has demonstrated leadership potential through her work with the organization. JVA Inc. also has promoted several employees to its corporate team. J.R. Spung has been promoted to associate. Spung is the regional civil project manager for the firm’s Glenwood Springs office and manages all civil projects on Colorado’s Western Slope.
Kathryn Martinez has been promoted to associate. Martinez has been with JVA since 2017 and is the human resource specialist working in the Boulder office. Cristy Helmick and Paul Stoffel have been promoted to co-regional structural engineering managers for JVA’s Fort Collins office. Helmick joined the JVA Structural team in 2020 and has more than 15 years of structural engineering experience. Stoffel has been with JVA since 2015 and has more than 16 years of structural engineering experience.
Matthew Krall has been promoted to Denver regional office manager. He will manage operations for JVA’s Denver office and also is the marketing director and an associate with the firm.
Burns & McDonnell has hired Russell Ditsworth as a project manager to lead transmission and distribution projects. He is a civil and structural engineer and has nearly two decades of experience, including 12 years of working with utilities to deliver power infrastructure.
RATIO Design has appointed Jennifer Song Koeppe to lead the firm’s local K-12 and higher education market sectors. She previously served as the director of planning, design and construction at Denver Public Schools.
McKinstry has promoted two of its leaders in the Mountain Region to vice president. The firm has elevated Bryan Hanson to vice president, energy of the Mountain region. He joined McKinstry in 2007.
Phil Saieg, vice president, technical services – national, joined McKinstry 10 years ago as a technical services account executive.
Keenan Driscoll is the next chief financial officer for Sundt Construction. Driscoll will work closely with the company’s longtime chief financial officer, Kevin Burnett, who will remain with the company through April before retiring.
Michael Rudge has been promoted to chief financial officer at Steel Encounters Inc. He has 22-plus years of experience in the industry, 12 of them with the company.
