Perkins Eastman has elevated Barbara Mullenex to its executive committee. A managing principal in Washington, D.C., Mullenex was the ENR MidAtlantic Legacy Award winner in 2020. She has led the design and management of several high-profile projects for clients such as Marriott, Global Holdings and the World Bank.

The firm also announced that Matthew Bell, a principal in the D.C. office, is a new fellow with the Congress for New Urbanism. The class of fellows is an honor roll that recognizes those who have advocated for urbanism in their local communities and across the world. Bell specializes in large-scale architecture and urban design. He is also a fellow with the American Institute of Architects. 

Architecture, engineering, geospatial  and strategic consulting firm Woolpert has hired Darryl Henderson as a managing principal in charge of the firm’s Virginia buildings practice. Based in Virginia Beach,  Henderson is also charged with architecture and engineering pursuits in other regions. His project experience includes higher education, commercial, governmental, hospitality, athletic and residential design and management. Henderson previously worked for Waller, Todd & Sadler Architects, which Woolpert acquired.

Christopher Body has been named a vice president and senior business development director for mobility operations at WSP USA. Body, based in Annapolis, Md., is involved in the development and pursuit of tolling, traffic management, transit, rail and other programs in North America for WSP’s mobility operations business line. He previously worked as vice president for sales for the Northeast region for Kapsch TrafficCom North America, an international supplier of intelligent toll collection systems.

Jose Jimenez has joined Gilbane as vice president and director of life sciences in the firm’s MidAtlantic division. Jimenez, based in Philadelphia, is supporting life sciences clients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. His experience includes directing major capital programs and renovations of active current good manufacturing practice (GMP) facilities. Jimenez, who previously was a vice president at Torcon, also has experience with medical device manufacturing and health care facilities. 

RS&H has hired Greg Wissman as a senior project manager for the engineering and architecture firm’s Maryland office. He will help deliver the Interstate 495 / I-270 P3 program, which includes improvements for more than 70 miles of interstate highway. Wissman manages transportation and infrastructure projects for the firm across the MidAtlantic area. His experience in the region includes highway design, roadway improvements, site design, bicycle compatibility and accessibility compliance, program management, utility and permitting coordination and final construction documents. Previously, Wissman served as the consultant project manager for the Maryland State Highway Administration’s $85-million State Route 32 Phase II and $45-million U.S. Route 219 design-build projects. 

Gregory Lebo has joined Stantec as a senior associate. Lebo, who is based in the firm’s West Chester, Pa., office, previously was a vice president at Century Engineering Inc.
