Brandon Moon has been promoted to vice president and project executive for McCarthy Building Cos.’ Southwest aviation group. Moon joined McCarthy two decades ago and has worked on aviation, health care, education, commercial and water projects across Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas. Based out of McCarthy’s Phoenix office, Moon will focus on leading aviation construction project teams and collaborating with project owners and trade partners to construct, renovate and upgrade airports in Arizona and throughout the Southwest.
The PENTA Building Group promoted Marisa Palomo to vice president for Arizona. Palomo’s focus in Phoenix will be growing and further establishing the company’s business strategy while providing executive oversight to PENTA’s human resource and IT departments. Since joining the company in 2006, Palomo has built the firm’s human resources department from the ground up, developing employee growth and retention programs as well as recruiting new and diverse talent.
Clayco has hired Amy Hawkins as operations executive, based in Phoenix. With more than 30 years in the construction industry across the U.S., Hawkins’ experience includes more than $2 billion of private sector, commercial and federal projects.
Kimley-Horn announced in October that the Pangolin Structural LLC team has joined its Phoenix office. Established
in 2014 as a full-service structural design and consulting firm, Pangolin Structural is led by a team of partners: Crystal Blanton, Pamela Singleton and Jeffrey Novak.
JCJ Architecture (JCJ), Las Vegas, has elevated Mike Larson to principal and JoyceLynn Lagula to associate principal. The firm also welcomed new hire Derek Sola as design principal. Together, Larson, Lagula and Sola will lead the Las Vegas studio. Larson serves as project director and studio leader. He has more than 19 years of experience in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industry. Lagula is a senior associate and project director. She joined JCJ in January 2022, bringing more than 16 years of experience in global hospitality and entertainment interiors, most recently as creative director and principal at Campbell House. Sola joins JCJ from Gensler’s Las Vegas office, where he served as design director, studio director and firmwide gaming leader.
Graycor has promoted Rusty Martin to general manager of its Southwest division, charging him with leading the firm’s regional
team and strategically expanding its business. Martin joined Graycor in 2017 as a project executive. Last year, Martin was promoted to operations manager. In that position, he provides operational oversight for the Phoenix office and directs all of the company’s Southwest project operations.
Greg Froehlich has been promoted to manager of EPS Group Inc.’s public works department. He has led the division for the past year as interim manager. Froehlich has more than 25 years of experience.
W.E. O’Neil Construction has hired Matthew Patt as a project superintendent. Patt, previously a superintendent with Damitio Construction, is based in the Phoenix office.
