Anovion Battery Materials is planning to construct a synthetic graphite anode material plant in Colbert County. The project scope includes construction of a building; purchase and erection of storage vessels and structural steel; and purchase and installation of raw material receiving, handling and storage systems, sintering furnaces and grinding equipment. The plant will have the capacity to produce 35,000 tons of synthetic graphite anode material per year for use in lithium-ion batteries. The estimated EPC cost is $400 million. MAINE
Sappi North America is planning to rebuild the No. 2 Paper Machine at its Somerset mill in Skowhegan. The project scope includes rebuild of the forming, press and dryer sections; modifications to the sizer, reel and winder; and purchase and installation of sectional electric drive systems. The project will convert the machine from graphic paper production to solid bleached sulphate board. The estimated EPC cost is $418 million. AZZ Precoat Metals is planning to construct an aluminum coil coating facility on a 25-acre site at the Oldenburg Industrial Park in Washington. The project scope includes construction of a 250,000-sq-ft building, installation of coating lines with cleaning, chemical treating, priming, curing, coating and recoiling equipment.The facility will have the capacity to coat 120 million lb of aluminum per year. Barcel USA is planning to construct a snack foods production facility at the National Road Business Park in Zanesville. The project scope includes construction of a building as well as the purchase and installation of stainless steel tanks and piping, conveyors and mixing, extrusion, frying, seasoning, measuring and packaging equipment. Construction is expected to begin in 2023. Barcel, a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo, produces chips, crisps, pork rinds, candy, toppings, spreads and health and wellness snack foods.
