The project will include an apartment building, townhomes, and 56,000-sq-ft of commercial space. NEVADA
The Moapa Band of Paiutes is planning to develop the Yahthumb Solar Project on the Moapa River Indian Reservation in Clark County. It will include a 1,400-acre, 138-MW solar farm with a transmission generation interconnection line between 8.5 miles and 10 miles long to connect the project to the regional electrical grid. The project’s environmental impact statement will be prepared by the Bureau of Indian Affairs as the lead federal agency. The project is valued at $175 million. Watchtower Bible & Tract Society (Jehovah’s Witnesses) is planning to construct an audio-visual production headquarters on a 249-acre site in Sloatsburg. The 16-building complex will total 1.8 million sq ft, and include production studios, an office building, a reception and events facility, central energy plant, parking garage, and ten residential buildings for employees containing 645 apartments. Pattern Energy Group LP is planning to construct the Southern Spirit Transmission project, a backbone between the Texas and Southeastern transmission grids. It will begin in Louisiana at the Texas border, extend approximately 320 miles to Mississippi, and will connect into Texas by way of the Rusk to Panola Transmission project in partnership with Garland Power & Light. It includes a 40-mile-long 345-kV transmission line with an interconnecting switchyard adjacent to the Louisiana border in eastern Texas; a high-voltage direct current (HVDC) converter station located in western Louisiana at the Texas border in Desoto Parish, La.; a 320-mile-long 525-kV HVDC transmission line across Louisiana and Mississippi; and an HVDC converter station in Lowndes County, Miss.
