St. Louis-based Alberici Constructors Inc. has promoted Fred Biermann to executive vice president. Biermann leads the civil, marine and heavy industrial markets. John Smith, vice president and market leader, will lead Alberici’s new integrated project support services team.
Paul Schmidt has been promoted to vice president and region leader for Messer Construction Co.’s Columbus office. He will oversee all operations and administrative departments throughout the Columbus region. His predecessor, Erin Thompson, is leading Messer’s growth into South Carolina with the opening of the company’s Greenville, S.C., office.
Henderson Cos. has made two promotions within the company’s community sector, which designs civic, culture, higher education, K-12 education, recreation and science and technology projects. Doug Everhart is taking on the role of community sector operations director. Chris Greer is the firm’s new K-12 education practice director.

The Boldt Group Inc. has appointed Randy Haak chief legal officer. Nathan Johnson has been promoted to general counsel. Haak joined company in 2009 as general counsel and will now lead all corporate legal matters, including corporate structure, ethics programs, insurance and governance, the Boldt ESOP, mergers and acquisitions, risk training, mentoring and licensing.
Kansas City-based McCownGordon Construction recently promoted Sheri Johnson to chief marketing officer. Johnson has been with the firm since 2018, most recently serving as senior vice president, marketing.
Terracon, an employee-owned engineering consulting firm, has named Stephanie Price as chief people officer. Price now leads Terracon’s human resources team and serves on the executive leadership team. She is based at the company’s headquarters in Olathe, Kan.
Victoria Stanley has joined Tarlton Corp., a St. Louis-based general contracting and construction management firm, as human resources director. In her new role, she will serve as a point of contact for staff and stakeholders in providing multiple human resources services and functions.
Fidel Chavez, construction observer, and Wyatt Huber, road engineer, recently joined Hanson Professional Services Inc.’s Indianapolis office. Chavez will primarily coordinate construction materials testing and maintain site development documentation for Indiana Dept. of Transportation projects. Huber will be lead design engineer and task manager for Indiana Dept. of Transportation and local public agency projects.
Elizabetha Stojanovska, an associate project manager at Hanson Professional Services’ Chicago regional office, recently earned her professional engineer license in Illinois. She has performed design calculations and has updated utility plans for Illinois Tollway projects, has provided utility coordination and design management for Indiana Dept. of Transportation projects and has worked on various design and construction projects for the village of Hillside.
