Sukut Construction is providing rough grade improvements, including soil removal and relocation, for the Lennar Homes’ Cielo Vista project in Yorba Linda, Calif. The work will create lots for 74 single-family residences.

Last December, Sukut controller Josh Behrens was on the 34-acre site with a DJI drone and captured a shot of the steep technical grading being conducted by the scraper spread. The shot required careful maneuvering of the drone in order to be low enough to capture the steepness of the hill while avoiding hitting the hill itself or any of the scrapers operating on it.

“I like how close the shot is to the equipment,” he says. “Normally, you are not able to get this close without disrupting production. I like how the photo shows off the downgrade and the process of cutting/filling a scraper.”
