“The city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County are both experiencing a change in top leadership, which has initiated multiple large-scale studies as well as [bringing] other studies and projects previously started into public view,” says Klann. “The city has started a lakefront [Lake Erie] master plan.
“The city also is starting an economic feasibility study of the Burke Lakefront Airport, which could be a dramatic turn of events if it is found that closing the airport is warranted and a large area of land becomes available for development right on the lake” Klann adds.
“Other new projects on tap include a large-scale addition to the iconic I.M. Pei-designed Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and a large public park project that is moving forward—called Irishtown Bend Park,” he says.
“The city is building a new police headquarters and Progressive Field [home of the Cleveland Guardians] is undergoing major renovations/alterations. [The real estate firm] Bedrock has recently brought public a master plan for the land along the Cuyahoga River,” Klann adds.
