O’Neil Group is planning to develop the West + Main Residential and Office Tower in Colorado Springs; the project will consist of two buildings. A 25-story residential tower will contain 316 apartments, a fitness center, dog run, a 28,286-sq-ft pool deck and 11,600 sq ft of retail space on the ground floor. The 11-story office tower will have 148,000 sq ft of office space and 13,500 sq ft of ground-floor retail space. There will be a five-level, 405-space parking garage for residents and a five-level, 250-space garage for office tenants. It is being designed by Tryba Architects. NORTH DAKOTA
The City of Minot is planning to carry out Phase MI-6 of the Eastwood Park Floodwall Project. This phase involves constructing a series of floodwalls along the south side of the Mouse River from the Third Street Bridge through Roosevelt Park to about Burdick Expressway. UTAH
Greenfield Energy LLC is planning to construct an oil sand remediation plant in Vernal. The facility will be used to inject carbon dioxide into the tar sand deposit, which will assist in the enhanced recovery and then be sequestered within the geologic formation. VERMONT
Ottauquechee Realty Advisors LLC and Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners LLC are planning to develop Phase 2 of the Bear Mountain Base Camp development. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently evaluating submitted bids from firms seeking to carry out an expansion of the Propulsion Systems Lab at the U.S. Army’s Redstone Arsenal. The project includes modernization of thirteen existing facilities totaling 63,203 sq ft; construction of a new 4,673-sq-ft facility for six new propellant mixing bays; waterproofing of existing earth-covered magazines; a new 5,000-sq-ft maintenance storage facility; a new 1,800-sq-ft control building; two new data acquisition buildings, each measuring 450 sq ft; a new 600-sq-ft conditioning building; a new 1,500-sq-ft rocket motor assembly building; three new inert storage buildings measuring 1,200 sq ft each; and a new 4,800-sq-ft large rocket motor segmenting/disassembly facility. 7/13 The New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation is seeking bidders to carry out an environmental remediation project, cleaning up groundwater chemical contamination from the former Kenco Chemical site on Freeman’s Bridge Road in Schenectady, which is a Superfund site. The work includes installation of electrical service, both on-site and connecting to a National Grid-designed supply; installation of a hydraulic control barrier around the 2.2-acre treatment zone; construction of an in-situ thermal remediation system to treat approximately 150,000 cu yd of soil with CVOCs contamination; construction of a storm water management area; and collection of confirmatory soil and groundwater samples until treatment goals have been met.
