Plant Agricultural Systems is planning to construct hydroponic greenhouses on a 772-acre site in Sanderson. The Phase I scope includes construction of 8.1 million sq ft of building space and installation of climate control, water recycling, irrigation, conveying, vegetable cleaning and refrigeration equipment. ARCO/Murray has been selected to provide design-build services for the buildings. The Netherlands-based VB Greenhouses Projects, a subsidiary of Plant Agriculture, is providing turnkey services for the project. INDIANA

The Ford Meter Box Co. is planning to expand its waterworks components manufacturing plant on an adjacent 90-acre site at the Northeast Industrial Park in Wabash. The project scope includes construction of a 300,000-sq-ft building; installation of conveyors, feeders, furnaces, and casting, shotblasting and machining equipment. General Kinematics and its GK Systems subsidiary have been selected to provide major equipment and EPC services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in the early fourth quarter of 2023. NEVADA

Blue Polymers LLC, a joint venture between Republic Services Inc. and Ravago Group, is planning to construct four polyolefins recycling plants near Republic Services’ proposed Polymer Center sites in the U.S.—one in the Las Vegas area, one at an undisclosed site in the Midwest, and at two unselected sites in other regions. Each project scope includes construction of building space; installation of sortation, washing, grinding, extrusion, pelletization and formulation equipment. The plants will process high-density polyethylene and polypropylene supplied by the Polymer Centers, and have a combined capacity to produce 300 million pounds of recycled food-grade and non-food-grade resin per year.
