Geddes and Co. are planning to carry out the Punchcard Building Redevelopment in Phoenix. The $100-million project involves adding new elements to the Phoenix Financial Center—which includes an 18-story office tower and two rotundas—to create a mixed-use campus. The additions will include a seven-story, 575,000-sq-ft apartment building above a two-level, below-grade existing parking structure. The city of Mesa is planning to expand its Signal Butte Water Treatment Plant to a 48-million-gallons-per-day capacity from 24 mgd. The $201-million project entails replacing and adding raw water flow control valves, one added raw water ozone contactor, two additional ballasted flocculation trains, one additional intermediate ozone contactor, six additional deep-bed biological GAC filters, one additional finished water reservoir, one additional 8 mgd Falcon Field zone finished water pump, three 11 mgd desert wells zone finished water pumps, a sludge flow splitter, one wash water treatment unit, one gravity thickener, one ozone generator, additional chemical feed equipment and storage capacity and a new storage building.
