ARIZONA

Freepoint Eco-Systems LLC is planning to construct a plastics recycling facility on a 40-acre site in Eloy. The project scope includes construction of building space and purchase and installation of plastic waste receiving equipment, hoppers, conveyors, extruders, pyrolysis reactors, condensers and pelletizers. The facility will have the capacity to process 180,000 tons of plastic waste per year to produce polymer feedstock for Shell Chemicals. Chemex Global Inc. is providing front-end engineering design and will also provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the project. Construction is expected to begin in 2024. KENTUCKY

Stellar Snacks is planning to establish a pretzel plant in Louisville. The project scope includes renovation of a 434,000-sq-ft building; and purchase and installation of automated conveyors, stainless steel tanks and piping, and ingredient dispensing, mixing, molding, boiling and baking equipment. OREGON

Ash Grove Cement Co. is planning to construct a new cement finish mill at its cement plant in Durkee. The project scope includes construction of equipment foundations, installation of a grinding mill and purchase and installation of conveying and screening equipment. Leiber GmbH is planning to construct a yeast products plant at the Innovation Village in Rockingham County. The project scope includes construction of building space and purchase and installation of ingredient receiving, handling, storage equipment and process vessels. Lantz Construction Co. has been selected as the general contractor. Construction is expected to begin in October 2023. Leiber GmbH, headquartered in Bramsche, Germany, will use the plant to process brewer’s spent yeast into animal feed supplements. The estimated EPC cost is $20 million.
