Sundt Construction recently hired Amy Cotner as a project manager in its Tucson building group. Cotner brings more than 25 years of expertise to Sundt, including 18 years working in the Tucson area. Her experience includes projects for Tucson’s Reid Park Zoo, Tucson Botanical Gardens and for the Omni Tucson National Resort as well in managing student housing projects and educational facilities on the University of Arizona campus.
In Tempe, Sundt added craft training instructors Odin Bartlett and Patrick McCarron to its craft talent development team. In these roles, Bartlett and McCarron will support apprenticeship programs at Sundt’s new Center for Craft Excellence. Bartlett has more than 10 years of experience in welding and welding instruction, while McCarron has 18 years of experience as a carpenter and foreman. Also in Tempe, Sundt’s Industrial Group has promoted Jenny Browne from business development representative to proposal manager. Browne will lead and direct the creation of proposals and presentations for industrial work pursuits.
Scott Salyer has joined McShane Construction Co., Phoenix, as vice president and regional manager. “We are thrilled to have Scott join the McShane team,” said Mat Dougherty, president. “His past experience in the Southwest construction market positions him for great success in this role.”
Salyer has more than 20 years of experience in construction management. Prior to joining McShane, Scott served as a vice president for Adolfson & Peterson.
Graycor Construction Co., Phoenix, has hired Brianna Nessler to lead its business development efforts in the Southwest. In this role, Nessler will focus on key growth sectors such as advanced manufacturing, retail and medical spaces. “Brianna is extremely knowledgeable about the Southwest commercial real estate landscape, is a skilled strategist and a highly respected member of our industry,” said Rusty Martin, Southwest division manager.
The PENTA Building Group hired Jim Neumann as director of business development for the Arizona region. He will support PENTA’s growth objectives as the firm focuses on the health care, higher education and hospitality industries. Neumann’s 19 years in the industry includes experience with office, health care, senior living, retail, hospitality and industrial projects.
Victoria Casteel was promoted to the position of Arizona natural resources director at SWCA. In this role, Casteel will develop strategic goals, engagement and collaboration between the firm’s offices and also facilitate staff growth among its natural resource teams. She has 17 years of experience in environmental consulting, primarily in project management and resource studies to support Clean Water Act wetland delineations/permitting and NEPA compliance. During her four years at SWCA, she has managed multidisciplinary teams, overseen fieldwork efforts and has served as a subject matter expert for water resources.
Property and construction consultancy firm Rider Levett Bucknall, headquartered in Phoenix, appointed Paul Brussow to the position of president of the North Americas. Brussow succeeds Julian Anderson, who served as president of RLB North America for 32 years.
