Real Innovation Delivered with Excellence (RIDE) is planning to construct an electric school bus assembly facility on a 30-acre site in Lancaster. The project scope includes purchase and installation of welding, assembly, painting, parts storage and testing equipment and systems. Equipment will be installed in a 630,000-sq-ft building currently being constructed. The plant will have the capacity to produce 4,000 electric buses per year. FLORIDA
Bauducco Foods Inc. is planning to construct a commercial bakery and distribution facility on a 72-acre site at the Municipal Airport Industrial Park in Zephyrhills. The two-phase project scope includes construction of 402,994 sq ft of building space and purchase and installation of automated conveyors, ovens, and ingredient storage and dispensing, mixing, blending, forming, freezing and packaging equipment. Turner Construction Co. has been selected to provide construction services. Construction is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024. Phase I, construction of a 96,494-sq-ft building, is expected to be complete in 2025 or 2026. Phase II, an additional 306,500 sq ft of building space, is expected to be complete in 2028 or 2029. RHODE ISLAND
Edesia, a nonprofit organization, is planning to expand its specialty foods plant at the Quonset Business Park in North Kingstown. The project scope includes construction of a 200,000-sq-ft building; purchase and installation of stainless steel tanks and piping, automated conveyors, and ingredient storage and dispensing, mixing, blending, cooking, packaging, robotic sorting, racking and palletizing equipment and systems; and purchase of forklifts. Dennis Group has been selected to provide design engineering services for the project. A construction schedule is being developed. The plant produces ready-to-use therapeutic food.
