Colorado Youth Outdoors (CYO) is the recipient of a $100,000 gift from JE Dunn Construction. In honor of its Centennial celebration, JE Dunn is selecting 10 organizations to receive $100,000 each. This community impact program, Building a Legacy: A Century of Generosity, will be honoring nonprofit organizations from across the country. CYO, a nonprofit dedicated to building relationships through outdoor recreation, received its grant at a surprise ceremony during National Volunteer Week. The grant will enable CYO to improve four docks to allow fishing and wheelchair access from a seated position. In addition, CYO will expand on a project JE Dunn completed in 2020 to lead people over an ADA-accessible bridge to an archery range, enabling those with limited mobility or in wheelchairs to participate in archery activities.
“This gift is a capstone of the many gifts that we’ve received from the JE Dunn family. It’s a signature to how invested that company—the JE Dunn family—is in our community,” said Bob Hewson, president and CEO of Colorado Youth Outdoors.

Cushing Terrell and CO Architects have collaborated on the design of five new buildings for Montana State University’s Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing, one for each of the university’s campuses. MSU broke ground on its new Great Falls nursing school in November 2023. Its four other campuses—Billings, Bozeman (in photo), Kalispell and Missoula—celebrated groundbreakings in April. Funded through a $101-million donation from the Joneses, the new nursing school buildings will feature modern classrooms and labs.
