The July 13 collapse of a blade on an 853-ft-tall turbine
at the giant Vineyard Wind offshore wind project off southern Massachusetts was due to a "manufacturing deviation," not design or engineering, Scott Strazik, CEO of turbine maker GE Vernova, told investors and analysts on July 24.
