Waterline will be the tallest tower in Texas when construction is complete in 2026. Located in Austin, where Lady Bird Lake and Waller Creek meet, the 2.7-million-sq-ft tower will include luxury apartments on the top 33 of its 74 floors, with spaces for offices, retail and restaurants below.

DPR broke ground on the project in June 2022. The office portion of the building will top out this summer, while the tower is scheduled to top out in August 2025.

DPR crews are self-performing the concrete work, and Turner Kerr, project manager, snapped the photo above when the team stopped to admire the white concrete stain that had been applied on the ground floor sculptural columns as the amenity-level columns were taking shape several levels above.

The Waterline was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, which has a portfolio that includes 55 Hudson Yards and One Vanderbilt Tower in New York City. Dallas-based HKS Inc. is the architect-of-record.
