Paul Leonard

Paul Leonard has been appointed president of Hanover, Md.-based geotechnical contractor Keller North America. He assumed the role in June, succeeding Eric Drooff, who is in a new role focused on groupwide operational projects. Most recently, Leonard was president of transformation at Wood Group PLC, responsible for revamping its global consulting business.

Engineering firm Bowman, Reston, Va., has promoted two senior executives. Michael Bruen, who was chief operating officer, is elevated to president. He succeeds Gary Bowman, who remains CEO and chairman. Dan Swayze, who was executive vice president and division manager, is promoted to chief operating officer and becomes an executive officer. As division manager, he had primary oversight of the company’s transportation, MEP and renewables practices. Bruce Labovitz, executive vice president and chief financial officer, has entered into a new four-year contract with the firm. He had been involved in its transition to a public company, says Bowman. Since its initial public offering in 2021, the firm has gained more than $425 million in market capitalization, it adds.

Tami Greene

Pittsburgh-based IKM Architecture has appointed Tami Greene president as of. June 1. A principal and shareholder. Greene’s practice is focused on the health care sector, where she specializes in ambulatory care and women’s health. Greene succeeds John Schrott, who held the position for 20 years and will remain at IKM as senior health care planner.

 

Doug Cumins

Tysons, Va.-based engineering and systems integration firm M.C. Dean has promoted Doug Cumins to chief operating officer and chief financial officer. He was executive vice president. The firm also promoted Julaine Simmons and David Sealock to senior vice president from vice president, and Eric Dean to chief technology officer and senior vice president. Simmons oversees division operations, customer growth and employee development. Sealock co-manages cost development and program execution for U.S. Defense Dept., intelligence community and large enterprise commercial contracts worldwide. Dean focuses on enterprise electronic security, cybersecurity and information technology systems.

Rick Borkowicz has been elevated to president of RMF Engineering, Westminster, Md. Previously division manager, he has been a member of its corporate management since 2020 and succeeds Ken Pitz, who remains on the board "for the next year of transition," said the firm.

Ames & Gough, a leading insurance broker and risk management consultant that serves design professionals, has promoted two Washington, D.C.-based managers, Brian Lynch and Cady Sinks, to vice president. Both joined the firm in 2016 and have been equity partners since 2023.

Cory Salmon

Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. Harrisburg, Pa., has promoted Cory Salmon to assistant vice president. Formerly a group manager overseeing the water and wastewater division in southeastern Pennsylvania, he now oversees all regional operations and key client management activities, and manages the firm’s King of Prussia, Pa., office.


Robert A. Strickland has joined US Wind Inc., a Baltimore offshore wind energy developer, as chief financial officer. A former principal at Apollo Global Management, he led execution and asset management in its sustainable investing platform. Apollo managed funds have been project investors in US Wind since 2020, says the firm, which also is building offshore wind factory Sparrows Point Steel in Baltimore County. Strickland also was a senior vice president at GE Capital, focused on renewable energy infrastructure projects.
