Completed in July 2023, Bandwidth Inc.’s new campus includes a five-story, 500,000-sq-ft office building that features a full-service cafeteria, an open-office layout, communication pods and five separate terraces that provide outdoor seating and views of the campus. The 20-acre campus also includes a five-story, 1,859-space precast parking deck, a Montessori-style child care facility, a fitness center and a barn-style event pavilion designed for up to 700 occupants. In addition, the campus features outdoor amenities like an amphitheater, an Olympic-size soccer field, pickleball/tennis/basketball courts, a disc golf course and an apiary. The global headquarters—set on a greenfield site—is designed for future LEED certification. Two miles of walking trails with connections to nearby greenways offer a healthy, active lifestyle option for employees. To overcome inflationary challenges, the team utilized a design-assist approach, which allowed it to bring on critical subcontractor partners earlier in the design process and order long-lead items before construction documents were issued. As a result, the project was completed on time and on budget.
