Featuring a striking facade that utilizes tailored fins that are angled in different directions as well as strategically placed lighting, this 27-story tower is Harwood International’s tallest to date. The 387.5-ft structure includes 344,400 sq ft of office space and 17,000 sq ft of ground-level retail. With a design that emphasizes natural elements, the building also features green spaces and a 17,000-sq-ft rooftop sky garden.

Before structural concrete placements, a drone flight documented all rebar, post-tension and sleeve installations. The same process was used on the exterior facade to confirm the quality of the envelope. Vertically placed exterior fins, part of the curtain wall system, are the project’s most distinctive feature. Each of the 2,233 fins is unique in its depth, orientation from the building and length, ranging in size from 4 in. to 16 in. in depth and 15 ft to 45 ft in length. Both the curtain wall system and the fins are made of aluminum plate, with the fins laser cut into shape. To ensure precision, the team used 3D modeling and digital design files to detail and coordinate scope of work with designers and specialty contractors.

With the project situated on a restricted 2-acre footprint adjacent to high-rise buildings and a major thoroughfare, ensuring the safety of the public and onsite workers was paramount. A safety catch net system was deployed along three elevations to protect against falling objects and provide secondary fall protection.
