Tim Jackson has been named Orlando-based managing principal of design and planning at AECOM Technology Corp, Los Angeles. Formerly president and CEO of Glatting Jackson Kercher Anglin, an Orlando engineer, he assumes his new position following AECOM’s acquisition of “selected assets and operating liabilities” of his former firm. The transaction, announced Dec. 22, 2009, includes all 90 Glatting Jackson employees. Jackson joined the firm in 1986 and had been CEO since 2007.

Mike Logan has joined HBE Corp., a St. Louis design-build firm specializing in health-care facilities, as senior vice president for hospital sales for the mid-Atlantic region. He had been principal sales representative at medical technology firm Medtronic, based in southern New Jersey.

Eduardo Villas has been named superintendant director of SNC-Lavalin Marte, a Brazilian unit of Canadian power contractor SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., Montreal. The new position follows SNC Lavalin’s Dec. 22, 2009, acquisition of Belém, Brazil-based Marte Engenharia Ltda, of which he had been director of planning. The Brazilian engineering firm, with about 1,000 employees, specializes in design of high-voltage transmission lines and electrical substations in Latin and South America.

American Water Works Co. Inc., Voorhees, N.J., the largest investor-owned U.S. water and wastewater utility company, has named Kellye E. Walker senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. She replaces George Patrick , who is retiring. Walker is the former senior vice president and general counsel at Diageo North America, Inc., a Norwalk, Conn., producer and distributor of alcoholic drinks.

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc., a Watertown, Mass., engineering firm, has named Joseph A. Angell as program manager for its U.S. Defense Dept. practice, based in Raleigh, N.C. He had been Southeast federal program manager at KCI Technologies Inc., a Sparks, Md., engineer.

EwingCole, a Philadelphia architect, engineer and interior designer, has appointed Jonathan Romig director of its science and technology practice on the East Coast. He was director of science and technology at The S/L/A/M Collaborative, a Glastonbury, Conn., architect, and is also a former principal at HOK.

David N. Zelig has joined Omaha-based architecture-engineering firm Leo A Daly as vice president and operations director of its Washington, D.C., office. Most recently, he was owner and principal of Wiedmann-Zelig Group LLC, a Philadelphia architecture, planning and landscape architecture company. Zelig also was a founder and chief operating officer of a start-up software company, 2Ce Inc.

Walton Construction Co., Kansas City, announces several executives in new positions. William “Bill” Petty, former president of its Southeast region, is named CEO. He replaces Dan Frisbee , who has “stepped down,” the company says. Dennis Thompson is named to the newly created role of chief operating officer. He was president of Walton’s western region. Ric Foster , previously director of special projects, becomes chief administrative officer.

Jenne Imholte-Decker has been elected the first female president of the International Grooving and Grinding Association, a nonprofit group in West Coxsackie, N.Y., that serves as a technical and promotional resource for the diamond grinding and grooving process on surfaces constructed of Portland cement, concrete and asphalt. Imholte-Decker is paving sales manager for Minneapolis-based Simplex Construction Supplies Inc.

Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers, Woodbury, N.Y., has named Paul Cimino senior wastewater division resident engineer. He was director of construction management services for the Nassau County, N.Y., Dept. of Public Works.
