Rene Ureta has joined Australian consulting firm Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM), St. Leonard’s, as business development manager for water and environment in South America. The new role follows the firm’s Aug. 2 acquisition of Santiago, Chile-based IRH, a water consulting firm of which he had been general manager. SKM declines to reveal IRH revenue but says it has both public- and private-sector clients in Chile. SKM also named Andrew Kings as client group manager for social infrastructure, following its acquisition of S2F, a Melbourne consultant, of which he was managing director. John Byrne, former S2F executive chairman, will lead the new parent’s pharmaceutical sector globally.
Jerry Litt has been named as a principal of SCJ Alliance, a Wenatchee, Wash., consulting and planning firm. His new role follows the July acquisition of Alliance Consulting Group by Shea Carr Jewell, an Olympia, Wash., engineering firm. Litt was principal planner at Alliance and is the senior executive joining the new group. Alliance founder Lisa Parks left the firm earlier this year to become executive director of the Douglas County, Wash., port district.
