The ParaShield is a temporary guardrail system that can be installed without any drilling. The system exceeds Occupational Safety and Health Administration guardrail safety regulations and can be used on any 4-in. to 10-in.-wide, short vertical wall. Installation consists of pinning the ParaShield into position and tightening an internal bolt. The ParaShield's socket can accept both 2 x 4 posts or a 1-in. steel stanchion. The Allen MP Edger riding trowel features rotating guard rings that allow the operator to smooth concrete within 5/16 in. of walls, columns and other obstacles. It features two 36-in.-dia, four-blade non-overlapping rotors, with variable rotor speeds up to 145 rpm. The riding towel has manual steering and blade pitch controls, with full variable speed control of the rotors. An electric-powered spray system allows for the application of retardant. The Dynapac FT1000T tracked asphalt paver is able to deliver 600 tons per hour of asphalt to a screed to lay mats up to 12 in. deep on new placements. The paver is powered by a 230-hp Cummins QSB-220 Tier 3 diesel engine at 1,800 rpm. It has dual swing-out operator stations and a low deck for better visibility of the hopper and auger. Wearable Backing Flap Discs feature a cloth backing that wears away at the same rate as the cloth, allowing for full use of the cloth while generating less waste. The wearable backing flap discs are made with a zirconia cloth and have grinding speeds comparable to a 1/4-in. grinding wheel.
