Product Snapshot: Dump Truck and Hybrid Boom

The JLG H340AJ Hybrid Boom is an aerial work platform that runs on diesel-electric power. Able to run on diesel fuel, the H340AJ stores electricity in eight 6-volt batteries and can run entirely on battery power as needed. Able to travel in rough terrain, it has optional four-wheel drive. Battery-only operation allows for the H340AJ to be used indoors or in emissions-free areas.

Equipment dealer Kelly Tractor Co. announced at CONEXPO 2014 that it would be offering IMT's Tier 4 A150 Hydraulic Drill Rig in North America. The drill rig is powered by a Caterpillar C7.1 ACERT engine rated at 217 hp and is able to deliver 118,010 ft/lb of rotary torque. Designed for foundation drilling, the A150 has a transport height of 12 ft and an operating weight of 99,210 lb. As the rig is able to lie flat, it can be transported in a single load.

The EH1100-5 Rigid-Frame Dump Truck boasts a body carrying capacity of 1,465 cu ft and a recommended payload weight of 70 tons. It is available in North America with a Cummins Tier 2 QSK23 engine and features a H6620A automatic transmission from Allison. On display at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014, the EH1100-5 features several cab improvements over Hitachi's earlier models. A 10-in. LCD display, offset from the steering column, provides information on hauling performance, and the cab features new sound insulation to reduce operator noise levels. The cab ROPS structure has also been redesigned so the EH1100-5 can be used as a water truck.

The P-32 Asphat Paving System is now available with new sensors, including an ST-3 sonic tracker and an anti-vibration slope sensor. The 2D system's GC-35 touch-screen control box has received a firmware update, allowing for cross-slope values to be shown during elevation control mode.
