Product Snapshot: Telescopic Handler and Vibratory Roller

Displayed at BOMAG's booth at CONEXPO 2014, the Cedarapids CR552 Mainline Paver has a hopper capacity of 27 tons. BOMAG has completed its integration of the Cederapids line, which it acquired from Terex in 2013, into its offerings. The paver's 260-hp diesel engine meets Interim Tier 4 emissions standards. Wide drive tires provide a greater footprint and higher traction than is normally found in rubber-tire pavers. An optional front-wheel-drive assist feature can improve draw-bar pull by up to 50%.

The MHT 1490 Telescopic Handler features a maximum lift capacity of 20,000 lb and a maximum lift height of 46 ft. It is powered by a 176-hp Mercedes engine that meets Tier 4 Final emissions regulations. The engine uses exhaust-gas recycling and selective catalytic reduction to meet emissions standards and requires the addition of diesel-exhaust fluid. All of the machine's components, including hoses, actuators and chains, are contained within the telescopic arm to reduce the chance of damage. Automatic rear-axle locking provides greater stability, and leveling can be adjusted 6.5 on the stabilizer and 8 on the tires. The telehandler has a top travel speed of 24 mph, with modes for four-wheel drive, two-wheel drive and crab-style steering.
