Product Snapshot: Pipe-Fusion Machine and Light Tower

The Terex AL5 Light Tower is powered by a 8-kW Kubota engine and has a 30-ft vertical mast that can be fully extended in less than 30 seconds. The mast is raised by an electric winch and controlled by a simple switch. The light tower is mounted on a tubular steel chassis on a 3,500-lb axle, allowing it to be towed over rough terrain. Optional features include a 33-hp Isuzu turbo-diesel engine, 30- and 60-gallon spill containment, and cold-weather configurations.

The Acrobat 160 pipe-fusion machine is designed to fuse 63-millimeter to 160-mm polypropylene pipe. The relatively lightweight machine can be used for fusing pipe overhead or in hard-to-reach places. Able to fuse pipe for plumbing, mechanical and geothermal applications, the Acrobat 160 can be configured to three-jaw from a four-jaw configuration for use in tight spaces. The fusion machine comes with DataLogger telematics, which records pipe-fusion parameters and performance for later review.

The 8D-QS Quad Square Lineman's Wrench is able to deliver 200 lb-ft of torque. A 36-tooth socket with a 10-degree handle throw allows it to be used in tight spaces. A both-through design allows the tool to engage nuts on long bolts or on threaded rod. The 13-in. handle has a grip along its entire length and a high-visibility socket for easier positioning.
