Milwaukee's updated cordless Sawzall features an in-line blade that allows for faster starts in metal and an overall improvement in cutting speed. The new model has electronic overload protection for the motor and the battery, reducing the chance of damaging the tool when working in hard materials. The 8.9-lb tool runs on Milwaukee's M18 battery platform and features a variable-speed trigger for up to 3,000 strokes per minute. Milwaukee Tool Corp.

Announced at World of Concrete 2015 in Las Vegas, Bosch's wireless charging system uses inductive charging, requiring no removal of the battery. The tool can rest on the charging pad any time it is not in use, with no need to swap out dead batteries. The charging pad features a foreign-object detector to prevent charging of anything other than compatible Bosch batteries. The wireless charging system is compatible with Bosch's 18V line of cordless tool batteries.

The Ditch Witch SK80 Footings Machine is capable of creating trenches up to 16 in. wide and 36 in. deep. It is powered by a 37-hp diesel engine that meets Tier 4 emissions requirements. The footings machine can quickly dig trenches and is small enough to reach areas of a jobsite where a compact excavator cannot. The SK80 can trench from either a center line or offset position, allowing it dig right up to the backer board. During operation, the footings machine maintains 43 in. of track on the ground, granting stability during trenching.

The GCX2 is a GNSS-integrated receiver that can act as a base station for up to three rovers. The unit connects via Bluetooth to a Sokkia S-10 or GHX2 field controller and is compatible with Topcon's MAGNET software platform. Its GNSS receiver uses 226 channels, allowing it to accurately track available satellites. When used with a cellular-based controller, the GCX2 can provide real-time kinematic data (RTK) corrections and connectivity. The GCX2 will retail for approximately $5,000.
